APM is the largest independent professional body of its kind in Europe. It has 17,500 individual and 500 corporate members throughout the UK and abroad. Its aim is to develop and promote project management across all sectors of industry and beyond.
Qualifications
The APMP qualification is a knowledge based qualification that allows candidates to demonstrate knowledge of all elements of project management.It is a qualification recognised both nationally and internationally by the IPMA (International Project Management association).
APMP Fast-track for PRINCE2 Practitioners - The APMP Certificate can also be achieved by taking a fast-track route. If you are a Registered PRINCE2 Practitioner, then your previous learning will be taken into account. This gives you the pre-requisite for attending a course that is based on a reduced syllabus, and includes a reduces examination (two hours rather than three). Attending the APMP for PRINCE2 Practitioners course has the following benefits:

For those who wish to start at the beginning there is also the APM Introductory Certificate which provides a fundamental awareness of project management terminology.
And for those that wish to progress their career onwards there are various qualifications recognising increasing levels of experience, knowledge and competence. These include the Practitioner Qualification, the Certificated Project Manager and finally the newly released APM Registered Project Professional.

Those directly dependent on project and programme management belong to all sectors of the economy, whether defence or IT, construction or transport, pharmaceutical or engineering. The Association for Project Management has over 35 years combining its members’ extensive experience in developing the science and art of project management. This is encapsulated in the APM Body of Knowledge, qualifications and other research activities and disseminated through its members, and more widely via print, electronic media and events.
